Anti-brown spots care
The skin has a pigmentation system governed by specific cells: the melanocyte cells, which are responsible for the production of melanin – the pigment that gives skin its natural color. The higher the skin’s melanin content, the darker its color. However, skin aging, excess sun exposure, certain hormonal factors (taking a birth-control pill, pregnancy, endocrinal disorders) and the use of photo-sensitizing substances (perfume, medication) can be the cause of upset melanin production. This will result in the appearance of hyperpigmented skin areas more commonly known as “brown spots”, on the face, hands, neck and décolleté.
A genuine revolution in the field of brown spots, new scientific discoveries have helped identify a second pigment that plays a part in the appearance and intensity of brown spots: lipofuscin, an oxidized protein found in the upper layers of the skin.
The LIERAC solution…
Based on these discoveries, LIERAC Laboratories have developed the highly depigmenting complex exclusive to LIERAC, capable of reducing the accumulation of the two pigments that form brown spots: melanin and lipofuscin. - A micro-algae extract helps diminish lipofuscin buildup by reducing protein oxidation, while stimulating lipofuscin breakdown.
Results:
The depigmenting effectiveness of the ANTI-TACHES Correction Active Reinforced depigmenting program has been demonstrated, with observation of:
▪ An 83%* reduction in skin pigmentation, reflecting powerful depigmenting activity.
▪ An improvement in the color of brown spots in 74%** of volunteers after just 30 days of use.
▪ An overall improvement in skin quality among 75%** of the subjects, with a more even, more radiant complexion and better moisturized skin.
*Objective evaluation performed with 8 volunteers who applied the product twice a day for 16 days to specific skin areas, by comparison to untreated areas, with UVA irradiation on D14 and again on D16.
