1 Where does cellulite come from?
Cellulite is an accumulation of fat in the skin’s cells. They can store up to 100 times their volume! These cells group together and are surrounded by a network of fibres that harden the skin tissue: these are the fat cells with their dimpled effect. With poor circulation and insufficient drainage, they are accompanied by water retention and a feeling of tired legs.
2 Why does fat accumulate in our cells?
What we eat provides energy for the organism. If we eat more than is necessary, the organism stores the surplus in the form of fat. Everything is a question of balance: if you store more fat than you use, cellulite and fat cells appear. |
3 Can you be thin and have cellulite?
Cellulite is not necessarily associated with being overweight. “Thin people” can have an accumulation of cellulite located just beneath the skin.
4 Can a diet remove cellulite?
As we do not lose weight where we want to, a diet will not result in specifically removing fat cells. However, limiting the supply of fatty and sugary food also reduces storage. However, if we reduce its food supply too quickly, the organism believes it is in a period of “famine” and reacts by storing more.
